Geneva M. Spicer, a longtime resident of Monrovia for 61 years, was born April 26, 1931 and passed away January 12, 2016. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Spicer, Sr. and daughter, JoAnn Scott. She is survived by her children, Sam Spicer, Jr., Mayor Pro Tem, Larry Spicer, Janet J. Dixon, Minister Richard E. Spicer; 28 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 9:00 PM on Friday, January 22 at Douglass & Zook. Her home going celebration will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 23 at Second Baptist Church, Monrovia.
