Eunice Catherine Thompson

Eunice Catherine (Sanders) Thompson was born August 19, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA and passed away November 12, 2014 in Monrovia, CA. She moved to Monrovia with her mother, Evelyn Hyde Sanders, in 1942. Eunice graduated from Monrovia High School in 1958 and married her beloved husband, Jack B. Thompson, in 1959. She was very involved in the Junior Women's Club, president of the Monrovia High School Band Boosters, a member of the Monrovia PTAs. Eunice dedicated many years as a Maryknoll Guild Member. One of her many passions was cruising around the world with her husband, which included many destinations such as Ireland, China, Alaska, Taihiti, London, Spain, Panama Canal, and Hawaii, just to name a few. She loved spending time with her friends, which often included playing bingo. Eunice is survived by her husband, Jack; 3 daughters, Cynthia (Rey), Laura (Jeff), and Stacy; 3 grandchildren, Holly, Emily, and Charlie; and her cousin, Rita. A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 18 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Douglass & Zook Chapel of the Foothills. Funeral service will by held Wednesday, November 19 at 10:00 AM also at Douglass & Zook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eunice's name to Maryknoll Sisters, 340 Norumbega Dr, Monrovia, CA 91016.
