Eunice Winifred Hunstad Moberg

Eunice Winifred Hunstad was born to Peder and Carrie (Swenson) Hunstad on October 15, 1914 in Aberdeen, South Dakota and lived on the family farm in Brown County. After attending the rural school, Aberdeen High School, and Business College, she went to work in the Court House. Eunice met the love of her life in Royal Francis Moberg and followed him to California where they were married April 15, 1935. They had three children: Jim (Fan) Moberg of Hillsborough, CA, Jeanne McKay of Alhambra and Marilyn (Randall) Simonson of Scottsdale, AZ. Roy built a home in the Hollywood Hills where they lived together until his death on September 14, 1982. In 1987, Eunice moved to Alhambra to be near and then to live with her daughter Jeanne until her death on December 8, 2009, at 95. Eunice was preceded in death by her two brothers: Ted Hunstad, Harley Hunstad and three sisters: Cora Wolter, Marjorie Greeno and Ferne Lee. Eunice was a warm, kind and loving parent, who always had a smile and supportive word for everyone. She loved to laugh and blessed her family with her gentile, caring and gracious ways. She leaves loving memories for her three children, seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Memorial services for family and friends will be held on January 16, 2010 at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Alhambra, CA.
