Mrs. Eunice Carole Johnson-Smith. 76 formerly of Little Rock, AR was born February 24, 1933 to the late Warren & Jewel Johnson. Eunice was 1 of 5 Daughters, 2 (Cecile & Hilma both of California) preceded her in death. On December 28, 1949 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Wendell Smith were in 8 loving children were born. Eunice accepted Christ at an early age and maintained her faith even during her long time illness, until her eternal departure on May 8, 2009. She instilled that her children stay faithful to the Call of Christ and to love one another with forgiveness, no matter what. Eunice later moved to Duarte, CA where she worked for Santa Teracita hospital as a Morgue and Lab Tech. She was a beautiful wife, wonderful mother, a good cook (with a specialty in pastries), and an excellent seamstress. She loved music of all kinds; she enjoyed informing her family of historical events and Persons. Even in her illness, she was sharp in knowledge and loved to hear the word of God. She was proud of her family, but she talked more about where she will spend Eternity; “Heaven is my Home” and Jesus keep me near the cross was her song! Penny (Melvin) Potts-Hattiesburg, MS *Kelly Smith -North Little Rock, AR *Rev. Rosalyn (Bishop H.H.) Brookins – Los Angeles, CA *& Anita Smith – McKinley, TX, 2 Sisters: Sandra (Robert) Johnson – Rancho Cucamonga, CA & Betty (Frank) Leverin – Los Angeles, CA. 15 grandchildren *5 great-grands *2 Aunts: Virginia Fowler Armstrong – Little Rock, AR & May Moon – Memphis, TN * A Special Cousin: Tuskegee Airman Melvin Crenshaw – Little Rock, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & several Arkansas friends. We will miss her, but to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
