Eugene “Gene” Davis, of Arcadia, 78, died February 20, 2009. He was born on August 3, 1930 in Liberal, Kansas. He was a school teacher at Kranz Intermediate School in El Monte, California; he retired from teaching in 1992. He served in the U.S. Navy, was a member of the California Retired Teachers Association, Oakley V.F.W. Post 2981, Oakley IOOF Lodge 421 and Arcadia American Legion Post 0247. He is survived by his brother Glen Davis (Dorothy), several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Marcia Madden, parents Carl and Aetna Davis. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 8 at the Chapel of the Remembrance in Arcadia.
