Esperanza “Hope” Bayon, 84, was born on July 4, 1942, in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. She passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026.
Hope called Duarte, California, home for more than 50 years. She was a loving mother who always put her family first. She enjoyed cooking for her loved ones, taking walks, and caring for her home and beautiful garden. She took particular pride in her roses and loved seeing her yard in bloom.
For the past five years, Hope faced the difficult journey of dementia, which gradually took away many of the things she loved. But even as dementia changed so much of her life, it never took away her smile or her loving spirit. Hope had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, greeting people with a smile and remaining in good spirits.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Manuel, Yolanda, John, and Ruben, her grandchildren, brothers, sister and her extended family and friends. We will always remember her love, her beautiful smile, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her.
The family is grateful for all the love, support, and prayers received from family and friends.
Arrangements are under the care of Douglass & Zook Funeral Services, in Monrovia, California.
