EMERY - Eric Emery, a native of Iowa, passed away peacefully at home in Sierra Madre, California on April 29, 2009. Eric graduated from Gilmore City-Bradgate High School in 1977, Ellsworth Community College in 1979, and earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1981. Since 1998 he was the CEO of Bennett Bowen and Lighthouse, Inc.; the Western Regional Sales Manager for Sara Lee from 1993-1998, and a Regional Sales Manager for the George A. Hormel Company 1982-1993. Eric survived by his wife, Janet; his sisters, Michelle (Jim) Ault, Maureen Baker, Paula (Bill) Purtzer, and Lisa (Patrick) McLarty, and his nephews & nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Ann Emery, formerly of Gilmore City, Iowa. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 4th at St. Mary's Church in Humboldt with inurnment at the St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery in Gilmore City. Memorial donation may be made in Eric's name to the City of Hope in Duarte (626-256-4673 x62635) or the Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 598 S. Grand Ave., Covina, CA 91724.
