Ellen Louise Tatosian passed through Heaven's gate at her home in Sierra Madre, CA on August 22nd, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Ellen was born to Forrest and Margaret Madison on April 29th 1951. She grew up in Altadena, CA, with her parents and five other siblings. She attended St. Elizabeth's during her grade school years, and continued her education by attending St. Andrew's for high school. After working a short time as a cashier at both a local car wash, and then at a Foster's Freeze, Ellen decided she wanted to go back to school to pursue a career as an IBM keyboard operator. In the Summer of 1970, however, her plans changed when she met Michael, her sweetheart of 41 years, at Jerry's Billiards in Pasadena, CA. In 1971 Ellen obtained a position at Canterbury Records in Pasadena, CA as an Oldies music buyer, and stayed with the company until 1981. Soon after, in 1982, Ellen and Michael welcomed their first daughter Regina Marie into the world, followed by another daughter, Kelly Jean in 1987. Ellen worked alongside her husband in his business as an automobile dealer for 8 years before they opened Tatosian Auto Sales in Pasadena, CA in 1990, which still stands today. Besides helping her husband's business thrive by doing office work from their home, Ellen was a wonderful stay at home mom, who found joy in just being with her children, tending to her home and garden, and cooking family meals. She was an avid gardener, with a natural green-thumb, but also enjoyed reading, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. To those who knew, or had met Ellen, you couldn't help but love her. She had a very sweet, loving and generous personality. She would put those who she loved, before herself, in any situation, and was adored by many. She will be dearly missed by family and friends alike. Ellen is survived by her husband Michael, daughters, Regina and Kelly, brothers, Forrest Madison, Michael Madison, and David Madison, sister Susan Milliken, sister-in law Tracy Hartung, brother-in laws, Rod Milliken and John Hartung, nephews, Eric Milliken, Ryan Milliken, Jason Madison, Jonathan Madison and Matthew Tatosian, nieces, Erin Avedissian, Jessica Madison, Sarah Madison, and Megan Hartung, as well as numerous cousins, and many friends she has made throughout her life. She was truly a beautiful wife, mother, aunt, and friend, and to those whose lives she had the chance to touch, she will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Angel.
