Elizabeth Johnson, age 90, passed away August 31, 2016 in Apple Valley, CA. Elizabeth (Betty) was born July 17, 1926 in Pasadena where she enjoyed horses growing up as a child. She worked at Lincoln Avenue Lumber Company in Altadena after the war where she met and married Grover (Butch) Johnson who owned the small market across the street from the Lumber Yard. They lived in Pasadena until 1961 and relocated to Arcadia to raise a family. Betty enjoyed boating, car club activities, dune buggying in the desert, and volunteered at the local hospital and the Arcadia Arboretum. Elizabeth is survived by her two children, Robert and Pamela Johnson; grandchildren, Erin Villanueva, Kevin Fitzsimmons, and Kaitlyn Johnson; and great granddaughter, Sky Villanueva. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 27 at 12:00 PM at Douglass & Zook Chapel of the Foothills.
