Preceded in death by husband Robert Spears Woodford, to whom she was married for 47 years, and daughter Mary Clark Woodford. She is survived by daughter Betsy Woodford, and grandchildren Scott Hatch and Emily Woodford Hatch. Eleanor was an avid golfer and traveler, having visited 49 states. She was devoted to her family.
