Edward John Quackenbush

November 14, 1956 — December 5, 2009

QUACKENBUSH - Edward John Quackenbush, 53 entered into Jesus’ loving arms peacefully on December 5, 2009 about 2:30pm at home with his wife Gina and dog Freddie. Ed was born November 14, 1956 in New York to Ed and Naomi who preceded him in death. Ed, Eddie, Quack whichever name you knew him by is also survived by his 18 year old son Edward II, his brothers John (wife Hilda), Blake and their Uncles Don and Bert, and a host of relatives and friends who loved him very much, too many to mention by name. Ed moved to California with his parents when he was two years old. He went through school in the El Monte area. He enjoyed cars, boats, fishing, motorcycles, camping, pretty much anything with family and friends. He was a member of the San Gabriel Valley Harley Davidson Club. As well as being very involved with the Elks lodge in Arcadia, which he was a member. Ed did so many things in his short life and will leave a big hole in a lot of people’s lives that no one else could even come close to filling the way he did. The song “I did it my way”, by Frank Sinatra was the way he lived his life. Ed did it his way. A visitation and funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 09, 2009 at Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home.
