Edith M. Leeping

May 1, 1923 — January 3, 2010

Edith Leeping was born in Germany on May 1, 1923 and passed into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2010. In 1952 Edith emigrated to the United States along with her husband George and young daughter, Karin. Edith was bright and well-read, teaching herself English via books and magazines. Edith’s greatest gift was that of being a loving and selfless mother to her children, Karin & Sylvia, and was regarded as a “second mother” to her niece, Beatrice & nephews Chris and Tim, who spent much time in her loving care. Her vibrant sense of humor was unmatched and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was a doting grandmother to Douglas, Brian, & Emily, and recently became a great-grandmother to Ethan. Though we are comforted knowing her long struggle is over, we will sorely miss her presence in our lives. Edith is survived by daughters Karin (Doug) Dolan, Sylvia (Steven) Richter, grandchildren Douglas Munoz, great grandson Ethan Munoz, Brian & Emily Richter, sister in-law Rita Isaak, and many wonderful friends.
