EARL E. PEARSON Longtime Sierra Madre resident Earl Eugene "Pete" Pearson passed away peacefully in his home on January 17, 2010. Pete was born and raised in Los Angeles and attended Fremont High School, he later served in the US Navy and retired as a Captain after 31 years of service with the Los Angles City Fire Department. Pete was one of three sons born to the late Lawrence and Emma Jane Pearson on March 10, 1924?and was the beloved husband of Marjorie Campbell for over 40 years. He will be forever loved and remembered by his 3 children Sharon Patrick, Melissa & Kirk Pearson, stepdaughter Rhonda Gilbert, grandchild Kimberly Petroni, great grandchildren Camille and Rocco, and countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him. Pete’s life was filled with many hobbies and skills including bicycling, carpentry, photography, woodcarving, and skin diving, along with a great love for the beach. Pete touched the lives of many people with his smile, sense of humor and caring ways and will live in our hearts forever. Services were held January 23, 2010?at Douglas & Zook Chapel in Monrovia. Contributions in Pete’s memory can be made to Los Angeles Fire Dept. Relief Association. Attention: Widows & Orphans Fund, 815 Colorado Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90041.
