COLLINS - Douglas M. Collins, born May 15, 1944 in Printiss, Mississippi, passed away March 31, 2009 in Downey, CA at the age of 64. Doug attended John Muir High School in Pasadena, played varsity football and graduated June 1962. He resided in the Monrovia-Duarte area for the remainder of his life. Doug was an avid sports fan and loved family gatherings. He is survived by his wife, Adella; children, Keith, Shelita, Mitzie & Shondra; sisters, Curtisene & Charlotte; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives & friends. A visitation will be held Thursday, April 9 from 5-8:00 PM at Douglass & Zook Mortuary. The funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, April 10 at First Baptist Church, 2200 E. Huntington Dr., Duarte, CA.
