Dora Ann Nicholson

Dora Ann Nicholson, age 86, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on September 8, 2020 in Arcadia, California. She was born March 29, 1934 in San Gabriel, California to Marshall and Andrea Garcia. She raised her children in Monrovia and was a lifelong San Gabriel Valley resident. She spent much of her adult life working at the Santa Anita racetrack. She enjoyed being outside and had many friends and happy memories there.
Dora is survived by her brother, Rudy Garcia (Susan); her children, Charlene Hurdle, Anna Pucillo, Loretta Ramsey, Patrick Nicholson, ZoAnn Melvin (Terry), Marshall Nicholson (Jacqueline), April DeAnda (Felipe) and Kim Nua (Daniel); grandchildren, Judi Affleck (Andre), George Florence III (Heather), Stacy Florence, Joshua Pucillo (Gaby), Jacob Pucillo, Jody Pucillo, Ashlee Pizzitola, Mickie Wilde, Christina Vogelsohn, Felipe DeAnda Jr., Nicoli DeAnda, Giovanni DeAnda and Jade Nua; great grandchildren, Aria and Jackson Affleck, Madison, Ashley and Jaden Florence, Alexandria Nunez, Jacklynn Murray, Eleanora, Mikayla and Max Pucillo and Hailey Reynolds.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Marshall Garcia; husband, Patrick Nicholson; son, George Florence; sons in law, Marc Hurdle and Bob Pucillo; granddaughter, April Marie Ramsey.
The family plans to celebrate Dora's life with an intimate party once it's safe to gather, but we very much appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers.
