Dennis Randolph Chapman

CHAPMAN - Dennis Randolph Chapman II (Randy), loving son, brother, uncle and friend was born in Los Angeles CA on May 10, 1963. He died peacefully on July 30, 2011 in Glendale, CA. Randy attended Bradoaks Elementary and Clifton Middle Schools in Monrovia and graduated from Arcadia High School in 1981. He was a Cub Scout, earning the Order of the Arrow during his Webelos year, an Indian Guide and an enthusiastic soccer player in the AYSO. Randy proudly served his country in the Army National Guard from 1982 through 1986. He was a contractor both in Southern California and North Idaho and did maintenance management for the family trust properties. Randy is survived by his loving mother, Cynthia Chapman of Glendale, CA, father and step-mother Dennis and Irene Chapman of Goodyear, AZ, sister Catherine and brother-in-law Eric Rodrick, of Santa Rosa Valley, CA, niece Bedina Ary, nephews Austin and Brennan Rodrick and numerous friends (including many four-legged ones). Randy was the most kind, generous, funny and forgiving man. He loved his family deeply and we will miss him more than words can express. He made our lives better every day! Services will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Douglass and Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home, 600 E. Foothill Blvd. in Monrovia. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Boy Scouts of America or Best Friends Animal Rescue.
