Debbie Gonzalez was born June 12, 1975, in Fort Belvoir, Virginia and grew up in a career US Army family, experiencing life around the world before the family settled in Richland, Washington. She graduated from Hanford High School and then moved to Los Angeles in 1999, a year after graduating from Washington State University. She took off to find adventure and yearned to carve a life in the entertainment and film industry. She took acting classes and worked as a payroll specialist for Decurion while seeking her fame and fortune. Along the way, she made strong friendships and fell in love. In October 2011 she married the love of her life, Esteban Gonzalez. In January 2013 she and Esteban were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Danika. Shortly following the birth, she received the devastating news that she had terminal colon cancer.
Family and friends watched as this beautiful, vibrant woman fought valiantly to beat the odds and continue her plans for this life. Sadly, on May 8, 2013, surrounded by family she passed from this life.
Debbie will be remembered for her generous heart, her warm smile and her zest for life. Her friends cherished her kind nature, fun loving spirit and never-ending optimism. She was passionate about her family, friends and dogs. Always looking for new adventure and sharing her infectious laugh, she was living life to its fullest.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Esteban Gonzalez, her daughter, Danika, loving parents Michael and Sally Robertson of Richland, Washington, Brother Michael and sister-in-law Heather Robertson, niece and nephew Ella and Gavin Robertson of Kennewick, Washington, Mother-in-law and Father-in-law Ruben and Suki and Sister-in Law Sophia Gonzalez of Monrovia, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cancer took her from us far too soon.
All Services will be held at Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home, 600 E. Foothill Blvd., Monrovia, CA 91016. Viewing will be held Friday, May 10, at 5 P.M. with a Rosary beginning at 6:30 P.M. A Prayer Service for Debra will be held on Saturday May 11, 2013 at 8 A.M. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery 966 Potrero Grande Drive, Montebello, CA
