WIBERG - Carl “Stuart” departed this life on January 13, 2011 at his home in La Verne, CA. He was 84. Stu was born in Edgar, NE, to Hattie Ahrens and Carl Wiberg on July 4, 1926. His sisters, Eileen Davidson and Justine McGhie, both of Nebraska, predeceased him, and his brother, Gary (Pat), lives in New Mexico. After high school, Stu enlisted in the U.S. Navy and moved to San Diego, where he met and married his wife of 55 years, Gene Robeson, in 1947. Having served in World War II and the Korean War, he graduated from San Diego State and moved his young family to Pasadena in 1954. There he began his career in defense contracting. He became a supporter of many youth activities and educational goals for the Pasadena community. Stu married Nancy Hazard and moved to La Verne soon after Gene passed away in 2002 from Alzheimer’s Disease. Their life together has been one of love and appreciation of each day. Stu is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Cindy (John) McRoskey; son, Craig (Leslie) Wiberg; and 3 grandchildren, Katharine McRoskey, Christine McRoskey, and Matthew Stuart Wiberg. Services will be held January 29 at 10:30 AM at Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home 600 E. Foothill Blvd., Monrovia, CA 91016 (626) 358-3244
