C. Lamar Mayer was born May 5, 1927 in Fountain Green, Utah. He passed away on January 24, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeannine Ezell Mayer, his four children; Kenneth R. Mayer of Bellevue, WA, VaLynn Melzer of Orem, UT, Brent L. Mayer of Anderson, CA and Tami J. Mayer of Stevenson Ranch, CA. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters; Maurine Byers, Geniel Gottschalk and Elaine Cannon, many nieces and nephews and a lot of friends. One sister, Stella Liddiard preceded him in death. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 at Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral home, 600 E. Foothill Blvd. Monrovia, CA. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 29, at 10:00 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2316 Hillview Ave., Monterey Park, CA. There will also be a viewing prior to the services from 9:00 to 10:00 at the church. Interment to follow.
