Bradford Hixson

Bradford Charles Hixson, 55, born on May 08, 1968, in Pittsburgh, PA, United States, passed away on January 20, 2024. Brad was a devoted father to Taylor and Matthew, husband to April, beloved son to Mary Jane Hixson, brother to Randy and Deanna Hixson, and mentor and friend to all. He resided with his son Matthew in Sierra Madre, CA at the time of his passing. 

Brad enjoyed an idyllic childhood in the Eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA, where he played sports and camped at Deer Valley YMCA every summer with his family. Brad eventually worked on the staff at Deer Valley during his early adult years, including a long tenure as Waterfront Director. Brad graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh before relocating to Los Angeles for new opportunities. There, Brad learned to surf and enjoy the beach life in the South Bay. Brad and April met in Arcadia and were married in New Orleans, later living in Fort Meyers, FL, before returning to California to raise their children in Sierra Madre.

Brad enjoyed his very successful career in wealth management, especially his last several years as Managing Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at Lido Advisors in Century City.  

Brad was larger than life, with a fortitude that made everyone assume he was invincible; making his sudden passing all the more shocking and sorrowful. Brad was a leader of the people, a man of great responsibility, and a man of great generosity. He will be dearly missed.
