Betty Jean Clemens

August 30, 1926 — January 8, 2017

Betty Jean Brown, was born August 30th, 1926, in Ontario, CA, on the South East corner of Riverside Dr. and Archibald Dr. She graduated from Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte High School in 1944. She enjoyed trips to the Pike in Long Beach, days in the snow in Big Bear and dipping her toes in the water at Balboa Island, before the War. She married Malcom George Clemens, in Pasadena, July, 1947, whom she used to pass on Myrtle Ave, downtown Monrovia and also at the Lyric theater. Her last 27 working years were with Avon Products in Pasadena. She enjoyed attending the toddlers in the nursery, Assembly of God church in Monrovia, where she used her kind spirit for the benefit of others. Her last three years was a resident at the Gables, which happened to be located where the Lyric theater was built in 1926. The staff there kept her in good company.
