September 23, 1928 — March 2, 2012

ZAGORIANOS, Bertha, (83), passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family March 2, 2012. She was born in Chicago, Illinois. Bertha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was active in the Greek community, and a member of Saint Sophia where she helped start the nursery and volunteered her time there for over 50 years. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Sam of 55 years. She is survived by her children, Marie (Robert) McPherson, Marsha Zagorianos and Kathleen Zagorianos. Grandchildren; John (Shelly) McPherson, Kristina (Chuck) Wilkerson, Athena McPherson and Angela (Forrest) Appleton. Nine special great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. Trisagion Service will be Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 7:30pm, Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 10:30am, both held at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1324 S. Normandie Ave., Los Angeles, CA. Interment, Oakwood Memorial Park, Chatsworth, CA. Memorial contributions may be made in Bertha’s name to Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
