Bernard McDermott passed away March 13, 2013. He was born in England on January 30, 1920; served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II, and was active in numerous ministries within the Catholic Church. Bernie was predeceased by his wife, Hildagard, and he was a loving father to his seven children: Dennis, Kevin, Mary, Anne, John, Joan & Constance and their spouses, 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. A vigil service at 7:00 pm Thursday March 21 will be held at St. Joseph Chapel – Santa Teresita, 819 Buena Vista Street in Duarte. A memorial mass at 1:00 pm on Friday will be celebrated at Annunciation Catholic Church in Arcadia. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Park, Monrovia.
