FERRARO, ANTHONY ROBERT Born Sept. 24, 1924 in Utica, NY and passed away on October 8, 2010. Survived by wife of 65 years Lucy, sons Robert & James, daughter Donna, six grandchildren; John, Anthony, Michelle, Daniel, Dana, and Joseph, eight great-grandchildren; Tyler, Steven, John John, Samuel, Edward, Luke, Cameron, & Gabriella; sister Madeline, and brothers Fred and Sal. Tony was a submarine veteran of WWII and Korean War. From 1953-55 he worked at Gen. Dynamics on the Nuclear Sub program, where he helped design piping systems for the Nautilus and Sea Wolf. In 1956 he joined Jacobs Eng. After relocating his family from Conn. to Calif., he worked there 28 years and retired as a VP. Viewing and Rosary Thurs. Oct 14 at 6pm at Douglass & Zook Mortuary in Monrovia. Funeral services 11am on Fri. Oct 15 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church Sierra Madre. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Rita’s school, or any children’s charity.
