Angelina Freund

Angelina Freund flourished until the age of 101. She was born in New York City on February 13th, 1909 to Joseph and Maria Leonardi and was preceded in death by her husband, William A Freund and her son, William J. Freund. Upon retiring from Western Union in New York in 1962, she moved to California with her husband. She had been an active parishioner of Nativity Church in El Monte for almost 40 years. But, then, began attending Annunciation Catholic Church where she, so enjoyed, being a member of that Parish family. Their support and friendship meant a great deal to her. Almost all of the people she knew and loved preceded her in death. Her closest relative is her niece, Francine & Joe Rettura and their children, Marguerite Finneran, Thomas Rettura, Christine Rettura, Teri Rettura and Jacqui Rogers. A Rosary will be said on March 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Douglas Zook Mortuary in Monrovia. A Mass will be held on March 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Annunciation Church on 1307 E. Longden Ave. in Arcadia, CA. Another Mass is planned at St. Benedict's in New York where final burial will take place in Old St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
